We (actually there is only two of us), posted streamers today in the inner streets of our town, promoting our school, hoping to get our target number of students this coming school year. We did “scientific walking” to preserve our energies and avoid getting too much tired. I do not want too much exposure posting streamers so I prayed last night that the rain would fall today. It did! What a happy duck I am! My smile acted like a magnet to people we cross path with, making chika-chika to them. Asked if I know these people I talked with? Nahh! I don’t know them! So pwede na pala akong kumandidato sa susunod na election.
I enjoyed this streamer job! My desperation even goes: I have to wait for a guy to finish his call of nature thing because I needed the post he’s urinating on! And unable to find a wooden post or any wooden structure where I can put the streamer on one street, the whole Toda members helped!
I pray that this effort will have a blessed fruit! I burned my ship, I said to my team. So there’s no turning back.
Why does God say “Wait.” ?
Only atheist and God-haters do not pray. We all pray. And when we pray, we expect an answer. A bothering answer from the heavens is “Wait.”. Nobody likes it.
On my travels, I often see billboards along the highways saying, ” Talk to me!-God”. I can’t help feeling: ” why? is end coming?”, as if an accident is waiting in the far end of the road.
But I do what the billboard says… always, whenever I see one. As I look out of the window, I realized that I had many answered prayers sandwiched in between “waits”. And up to now, they remain “wait”!
Why? I asked.
Our strenght is renewed every time we wait.
We realize a lot of learnings as we wait.
We get to know ourselves more as we wait.
We get to know God more as we wait.
We are being prepared for a big “yes” answer of God!
We have more time to grow.
So we wait.
