Finding Lost Friends in a Haystack!

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

The months that passed by were very busy ones… what’s new about them in my life, anyway?

One day, a text came in inviting me for a very early french-fries-time in Jollibee. French fries at 6:30 in the morning!

I went to the said meeting place and I was a little bit “Oh, my!” to find my long lost friends waiting.

I thought I was left behind and forgotten by these people. After a short talk, I found out that we just got work to do so we were called again! It’s work! Hmmp!

But work will not be an effective work without team playing. So we renewed our friendships again, our covenant as friends! And the old clinche goes form each of us to each other: ” Ang mananakit sa ‘yo, sasaktan ko din.” but passing by me I said,” ang mananakit sa yo…. ano…kukurutin ko na lang. pwede ba un?”. A notebook hit my arm.

Seriously, I was happy to see and have them again, even if it’s just for the sake of “work”. And frankly, we’re all glad we saw each other and work again as a team.

I went to an education convention in Baguio last Oct.15-17. It was an amazing experience! I got rested and refreshed and most of all, I found new friends again. Friendship that extend up to way down here in Bulacan. Friendship mixed with business and emphaty with a promise of sincerity and honesty .

After the mind-breaking and heart-breaking months were over, I realized that negative situations need not push us to our limits but rather should push us to extend beyond our limitations, create new horizons for ourselves and find ways to open up new doors so our progress.
